HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE AT WORK {PART 2}

Becoming a star is your desire. Isn’t it? I know that one of your major prayer points is that God should make you a star or a rich person. Isn’t it? But one thing I want you to know is that there is no gain without a pain. God has a part to play and you also have your part to play. That’s why my next topic after this will be what it takes to stay empowered, but before then let’s finish what we started.

Last week, I started a topic on productivity at work. Isn’t it? I made you to understand the real meaning of work and I hope someone will have been blessed with this because I got some couple of mails. I want to say thank you to everybody that took time to read it. I want to appreciate everybody that is true seeker of knowledge; I am so sure that sky is just the beginning for you. To all my lazy group members, please change because what you know determines who you are. Every problem you find yourself is a direct result of your ignorance not the devil or bad luck. Let’s see God’s view concerning this {Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge……). There is a saying amongst the white, that if you want to hide something from a black put it in a book or into writings, he will never find it because he won’t read it. Please let’s increase our reading habit so that our leading habit will be enhanced.

Without wasting time, let’s go straight to our topic. Now that we know that nothing works without work. What will be our focus today is what to do to become productive at work.

• Work with wisdom: You need to apply wisdom to everything you do most especially your work. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge. That means without knowledge there is no wisdom. You can only apply what you know. You need to engage your brain in your work. Wisdom can be received in 2-ways:
1. Via inspiration
2. via thinking
Most people don’t take time to think deeply about their work. A New York Times asked a question from one of my mentors on how he spends his time when is not at work, he said he reads and thinks. There should be a time you have for thinking , I mean thinking time. You need to think, you need to work with wisdom and you need to work with your brain. If your brain is not working, your hand will be working. Working with your hands alone, you spend much energy and you earn less most times unlike coupling your brain with your hands. When your brain begins to knock while thinking stretch it a little bit because the knocking is the finding of knowledge where they hide.

• Work with direction: Scientifically, work is a force applied in a right direction. Working without direction, is like not working at all. When we walk in a right direction it helps us to dispense our energy in the right place to bring right result in no time. When you work right, you earn right. Let me give you a practical example: assuming someone went to university to study microbiology and he heard that bank is where the money is now, he rushed again to sit down for ICAN, again he heard IT is the in-thing, he rushed again to obtain Cisco or oracle certificate, now tell me, how many certificate will he obtain before he becomes relevant. In short, he will need to have 360 certificates to be relevant because that is what makes a circle. This direction issue can be applied different issues of work too. How do you now know where to direct your energy?
1. By divine direction: by God talking to you. I know many won’t agree with this but that’s the truth and you can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. Let’s see what the creator’s manual says (the bible). {Proverbs 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. }
{Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thy heart; and lean not to thy own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.}
2. By looking inwards: you study yourself by looking inwards for your area of gifting and talent and engage yourself with it.{ Pro 18:16 A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men. }


• Work diligently: to be diligent means to be committed to your work, to be fully identify with your work and to be proud of what you’re doing. { Ecc 9:10 Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.} . It doesn’t matter how small your work is, just be diligent and you will see it grow. { Pro 22:29 Do you see a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before unknown men. }. When you’re committed, you will become creative and excellence answers only to the committed.
• Work with a sense of urgency: procrastination is a burial place of ideas. When you procrastinate, you loose your energy. There is no better time than now. Nothing gets better by leaving it on the floor. True workers value there work more than food. I will like to say that sense of urgency is an act of responding quickly when there is an urge.
Don’t wait for convenient time; there is no better time than now. Convenience is the burial place of ideals.
Work must be a necessity for you so that you can become necessary in your community.

HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE AT WORK {part 1}

May I say a big thank you to all my readers.To those that embrace knowledge, I want to say let’s keep embracing it. Because knowledge makes wise and wisdom brings people to honour.
Let’s go straight to our topic of the day but before then let me ask if we now have the right attitude to life because that was the last topic I shared. For those that missed it please go to the discussion board of the group and read it. It is very important because your attitude determines your altitude in life.
This week I will be taking a deep look into productivity at work but there is no way I can rush down into this without letting you to understand some few things about work. So many people have this wrong perspective towards work and I don’t want to assume that you are not one of them, because a wise man once warned me never to assume.
What do you need to understand about work?
• You need to understand that your work will determine your worth.
• Creativity increases with hard work. Those who work extremely hard can stretch their intuition and insight. A wise said that the harder you work the brighter you think.
• You need to understand that your future can only be secured by in your labor
• So many people misinterpret job for work and vise versa but the two are not the same. Work brings out the potential and gift inside you. Job will only provide you salary without bringing out your potentials. This happens most when you are working outside your area of specialization or natural gifting.
• You need to understand that the ultimate reason for work is productivity.
• Work is a process of engaging in an activity with a product in view. I.e. engaging in an activity for productivity. You will agree with me that activity – productivity = labor of the foolish.
• It is an anticipated result that encourages work.
You need to understand that there is no substitute for work. Work is the onlything that guarantees you good and lasting wealth. (Pro 13:11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labor shall increase.)


Having known all these about work we need to know how to be productive at work. There is always how to everything on earth. Let’s see what the oldest book with the latest news {The Bible} says about “how” Ecc 10:15 the labor of fools wearies him, because he does not know how to go to the city.
I will stop at this point because I have promised not to make my writings too long to read. In my next write up, I will be digging real deep into how to be productive at work but for the sake of those that complained that my writings are to long let me stop here. WHAT IS YOUR ATITTUDE TO LIFE?

Before I start with this interesting topic, I will want to say a big thank you to all my readers. I really appreciate all your complement, words of encouragement and the time you’ve taken to read all my messages. I am convinced from the bottom of my heart that the star in us will never stop shining, because all leaders are readers and all committed readers are potential leaders. All leaders are stars.

This week I will be discussing on attitude to life. Your attitude to life also plays a significant role in your ultimate success. There are some important points we need to understand about life
• We all need to understand that life is a gift and not a grief. It is a privilege and not an imprisonment. When you see life as a privilege and a gift, you will embrace it and you will not despair.
• We also need to know that life is all about contribution, not collection.
• Life is about responsibility and not dependency. A wise man said responsibility is the price for greatness.
• Life is about relevance not significance.
• Life is about service, not status.
• Life is about disposition , not position
• Life is about giving and not just receiving

Your attitude to life will determine what it offers you. Life is not about sitting down and waiting for someone else to get things done for you. It is about getting out there and creating opportunities to make things happen. If you have this perspective to life, then life will cease to be a burden. Accept responsibility so as not to die a liability. Only those who take steps today have a story to tell tomorrow.

THE PROSPEROUS SEED

It is not all seed that leads to blessing and prosperity. When your seed is not prosperous, the problem is not with the seed. It was because of how it was sown.

How do we make our seed to be prosperous?
• Genesis 4 : 3-5 { Gen 4:3 One day, Cain gave part of his harvest to the LORD,
Gen 4:4 and Abel also gave an offering to the LORD. He killed the first-born lamb from one of his sheep and gave the LORD the best parts of it. The LORD was pleased with Abel and his offering,
Gen 4:5 but not with Cain and his offering. This made Cain so angry that he could not hide his feelings. } it is not all seed that God accepts. How then do we sow our seed that it can guarantee us harvest ?
Exodus 25 : 1-2{ Exo 25:1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
Exo 25:2 Speak to the sons of Israel that they bring Me an offering. You shall take an offering from every man that gives it willingly with his heart. }
When you are sowing your seed to God, you must sow it willingly. Sow seed from the bottom of your heart. 2 Corinthian 8 : 12{ 2Co 8:12 For if the eagerness is present, it is acceptable according to what one has, and not according to what one does not have. } so your offering from a will mind.
• 2 Corinthian 8: 12-14 { 2Co 8:12 For if the eagerness is present, it is acceptable according to what one has, and not according to what one does not have.
2Co 8:13 For it is not that others may have ease, but you trouble;
2Co 8:14 but by equality in the present time; your abundance for their need, that their abundance also may be for your need; so that there may be equality; } sow qualitatively. The quality of your seed determines the acceptability.
• 2 Corinthian 9: 7 { 2Co 9:7 Each one, as he purposes in his heart, let him give; not of grief, or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. } Sow your seed cheerfully. sow it with joy.
• Malachi 1 : 6-8{ Mal 1:6 A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My fear? says Jehovah of Hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. And you say, In what way have we despised Your name?
Mal 1:7 You offer defiled bread upon My altar; and you say, In what way have we defiled You? In your saying, The table of Jehovah, it is a thing to be despised.
Mal 1:8 And if you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? And if you offer the lame and the sick, is it not evil? Bring it now to your governor. Will he accept you, or lift up your face, says Jehovah of Hosts? } Sow honorably.

PROFITING BY REVELATION

Any revelation that does not produce testimony is not a profitable revelation Isaiah 55:11 { Isa 55:11 That's how it is with my words. They don't return to me without doing everything I send them to do.”}
How do we make our revelation to become manifestation? Hebrew 4:2 {Heb 4:2 we have heard the message, just as they did. But they failed to believe what they heard, and the message did not do them any good. } Faith is what makes revelation to become manifestation. It is faith that empowers the fulfillment of his word. Without faith God cannot do anything. When there is no faith God is handicap. That’s why faith is important in Christian Dom.
How do we mix God’s word with faith?
1. Speak the word 2 Corinthian 4 : 13 { 2Co 4:13 In the Scriptures it says, "I spoke because I had faith." We have that same kind of faith. So we speak} you mix the revelation of God with faith by speaking it. You don’t have to look like the revelation. If you don’t speak it, you don’t believe it. Speak it and declare it.
2. James 2: 20 { Jam 2:22 Now you see how Abraham's faith and deeds worked together. He proved that his faith was real by what he did. } with every revelation there is a demand from you. You are to take steps and act upon what God has told you. God will never do what you can do for you. There are two parts to revelation: God’s part and your own part. You mix revelation with faith by taking steps.
3. 1 timothy 1 :18 { 1Ti 1:18 Timothy, my son, the instructions I am giving you are based on what some prophets once said about you. If you follow these instructions, you will fight like a good soldier. } prophecies are like revelation. that god said something about you doesn’t make the devil to sleep and allow it to happen 1 Corinthian 16:9 { 1Co 16:9 because there is a wonderful opportunity for me to do some work here. But there are also many people who are against me. }
You don’t give up because of adversaries but you war a good warfare.
You fight a good fight of faith by praying a faith loaded prayer. You also wage warfare by taking a bold step. E.g David and goliath.
4. you must cultivate the attitude of rest. You fight the good fight of faith by knowing how to rest in God.

THE BIBLE SENSE OF DELIVERANCE

The day of salvation is the day of deliverance .Galatians 5: 1 {Gal 5:1 Christ has set us free! This means we are really free. Now hold on to your freedom and don't ever become slaves of the Law again. }
How does believer get entangled in the yoke of bondage after Christ have set us free?

• john 8:32-34 {Joh 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Joh 8:33 They answered, "We are Abraham's children! We have never been anyone's slaves. How can you say we will be set free?"
Joh 8:34 Jesus replied: I tell you for certain that anyone who sins is a slave of sin! }
Sin is what makes believer entangle to bondage .
Sin gives devil power over you. Sin opens the door for oppression. The remedy to sin is confession. 1 john 1:8-9 { 1Jo 1:8 If we say that we have not sinned, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth isn't in our hearts.
1Jo 1:9 But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away. }
Sin makes you vulnerable to satanic attack.

• Fear: Romans 8:15 { Rom 8:15 God's Spirit doesn't make us slaves who are afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father. }
Fear put people in bondage. Proverbs 29:25{ Pro 29:25 Don't fall into the trap of being a coward-- trust the LORD, and you will be safe. } Fear is a trap of the devil. For God has not given us the spirit of fear.
How do you handle fear? The opposite of fear is faith and trust in God. Trust and faith in God is the solution for fear. Faith and fear depends on what you focus on

Depression : Is the lack of joy .Deuteronomy 28: 47-48{ Deu 28:47 If the LORD makes you wealthy, but you don't joyfully worship and honor him,
Deu 28:48 he will send enemies to attack you and make you their slaves. Then you will live in poverty with nothing to eat, drink, or wear and your owners will work you to death. } Depression will always lead to oppression. Don’t let what is happening in the world makes you depressed. Anything that targets your joy is targeting you. What is the remedy for depression. In everything give thanks always rejoice in the lord.
